In today’s day and age, it is imperative for organizations to take up initiatives that empower our collective fight against the menace of global warming and climate change. Given that industries have reaped the benefits of industrialisation over the past centuries, it is only natural that the change that must be ushered in to protect our planet and race towards a sustainable future for our upcoming generations must be led by industries. Here’s how industries can lead humanity towards a more sustainable future for all of us:

Renewable Sources of Energy:

One of the most commonly prevalent methods for individuals as well as industries to combat pollution and wastage is to identify ways in which you can reduce the usage of particular materials by finding alternatives, reusing particular materials to avoid buying more of them and causing more wastage, and lastly, finding ways to recycle them, leading to reduced wastage. For example, these days, paper being recycled is quite common, owing to the methods with which it is developed. Further, by opting for more sustainable alternative things, we might be able to reduce wastage, and thereby pollution. Lastly, we should strive to develop products that can increase reuse. For instance, instead of using single-use plastic wrap for all of our products, we should try to find more eco-friendly reusable wrapping methods.

At JMC, we are constantly striving to work towards a more sustainable manufacturing facility where we develop machinery that aids reusing, recycling, and reducing of paper materials. We believe that as a socially responsible corporate, we must aid to such initiatives and lead the industry by example and usher in an era of sustainable development.

One of the key contributors to pollution and the emission of greenhouse gases across the world is the extreme usage of fossil fuels. Today, there is much more awareness surrounding the acceptance of energy sources such as wind, solar, and hydroelectric which is a rising factor in our fight against climate change. However, while these forms might be accepted in limited amounts, it is rare that industries adopt such sources of energy. In warmer countries like India, especially in the western part where sunshine is available in abundance, it is important that we leverage its immense potential.

We, at JMC, firmly believe that renewable sources will be immensely potent in our bid towards sustainability. Our innovative team constantly finds ways to reduce our electricity consumption and optimize our resources to minimize our potential. Further, we are also proud to share that 50% of our electricity is generated through solar power, minimizing our carbon footprint even further.
